We arrived late Friday night at the Johnstone’s home in Redbank Plains. They have 6 acres land on top of the hill with a perfect view over the whole area. They were awaiting us (we were late because of traffic). They had prepared a wonderful meal and dessert (sticky date pudding), which we will serve from now on at birthdays and other special occations... yummy! A warm and wonderful family with mother Melinda (perfect mother/wife, serious funny (we laughed our heart out) and truely blessed and gifted), father Adam (humble, warm, intelligent, a true servant – and very good at all he does), the children Taylor (The true princess of the King), Jordania (Charming and very hard to resist) and Lara (beautyful princess, smart and very bright) and not to forget grantparents Faye (Special woman of the Johnstone’s, patient, strong, mercyful and passionate) and Ross (the doctor of the family ;-) He knows the answers, warm and a gifted musician).
This family became very close and dear to us during the few days we spent together. We felt very welcome and their hospitality were overwhelming. Thank you so much all of you! Especially thanks to all the princesses for the nice drawings and presents for Lukas and Marcus. That meant a lot to them ;-) Adam is the national partner of NCD (Natural Church Development) and the whole family is involved in the work with NCD. They have also planted a church together with Adams sister and brother in law. We had the chance to see the church and meet some of the very nice people there. It was really inspiring and it gave us a quick insight in their church and life around the church. The Johnstones live together in one house while their own dreamhouse is beeing build. A 400 m2 house for them and a whole separat floor for people in need. A fantastic project which we will follow in the month and years to come. Faye offered us to take us to Brisbane and be our guide for the day. We spent Saturday afternoon in Brisbane and surprisingly we ran directly into Buddhas birthday party with entertainment and flowers in the street. Thanks Faye – we will never forget our tour in Brisbane – neither you ;-) The boys had a great time and got 6 new friends for life! They had the chance of practising their english skills, they played games, jumped in their trampoline for hours, played with boxes and just had a great time. We will never forget you guys... We ended up staying there for 3 days and it were three very intense, relaxing and enjoyable days! We are forever your friends (brothers and sisters) - and grateful. We strongly hope that we some day can show you our little world in Denmark. You are always more than welcome. May God continue his wonderful work in you! Love from Charlotte, Peter, Blondie (Lukas) and Medium (Marcus).
Drengene fik 6 nye venner for livet!
